“Going Global…”

Growing up in the deep South afforded me many unique memories. One of the most priceless happened during my freshman year of collage. In a Cornerstone of Business class, me, my good friend Keith Brown, and another guy named Jamal had to develop a business concept. We came up with a great concept and spent countless hours working on our presentation. During the weeks leading up to our presentation we began to realize that our third member, Jamal, never came to class. After weeks of no Jamal we asked the teacher if she knew anything. Turns out, Jamal had gone to prison because his “baby momma” got “fed up”. I wish I were joking. If this wasn’t funny enough, Jamal walked into class literally seconds before we were to present.
The group decided to let me speak for the most park. Feeling very diplomatic during my portion of the presentation, I asked Jamal to speak on our future plans. Without hesitation or an idea what our business concept was he simply looked mumbled “we’re goin global”… Guess you had to be there…
Anyway, today I did the wedding of Keith (the LOYAL group member) and his beautiful wife Kristin. As many of you know, I LOVE outdoor weddings and found this one especially beautiful. We simply couldn’t have had better weather. Keith, I am proud of you two! Know that you will be in my prayers!
